micro-silence paso robles surrender Sep 04, 2024

This week requires me to take care of me. I'll be sharing more when I feel ready. Look at me, practicing boundaries on the internet. While I'm being gentle on myself, I want to offer some powerful tools and inspirations that are guiding me through a massive transition. Feel free to share this with someone in need right now.

1. Surrender.

As someone who has thrashed all my life, I've finally raised my white flag.

2. Tapping my chest.

EFT, which I've spoken about a lot lately has really been helpful. When I can't stop, drop and tap completely, I tap my chest to rewire the circuit and bring me out of my head and into my body.

3. Telling people what I'm gonna do.

This is the true definition of boundary setting. You can't control anyone but yourself and you are your greatest responsibility.

4. Mindful emotional processing.

AKA letting hard sensations be sensations. Notice where they are in your body, breathe into them, and let them shift and pass.

5. Paso Robles.

I spent three days here with my mom and sister as we helped her move. The stillness and openness gave me something I needed during this time.

6. Micro-silence.

Silence can be confronting. Even as it feels scary, I don't run, but I also don't throw myself in the fire: I micro-dose it. It's essential, but can be taken in intentional doses when it all feels like too much.

7. Journaling everything that troubles my mind.

This and meditative silence have proven to be the best roads to clarity for me.
